Saint Agur Fig tarts
- 1 Saint Agur
- 16- pre-made puff pastry shells
- 5 oz. fig spread
- 1 egg for egg wash
- Chili powder
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Preheat oven to 400 F
Place pre made puff pastry shells on to a sheet tray
Fill each shell with approximately 1 tsp. Fig spread
Cut the Saint Agur wedge in half and slice each half into 8 wedges
Top each of the prepared pastries with the a wedge Saint Agur
Bake the tarts in the oven for 4-5 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly browned
While warm transfer the tarts to a serving tray, dust with chili powder and chopped parsley and serve
Port wine is a classic pairing with Blue cheese. If you like sherry give try, you may be surprised.
Cut blue cheese last when preparing your cheese boards as to not cross contaminate your other cheeses.
