One of the greatest cheeses in the world from one of the best makers, Roquefort Papillon is a semi-soft sheep’s milk cheese made by Les Fromageries Papillon in Roquefort-sur-Soulzon, France.
This blue cheese has been made under the strict Protected Denomination of Origin (PDO) regulations, ripening in natural cellars in the village of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon and aged over 90 days.
Papillon Roquefort also won the Silver medal at the World Cheese Award in Newport, Wales in 2022. A competition organized each year by the British gastronomic society Guild of Fine Food.

Roquefort Papillon is defined by a white paste and mottled with generous streaks of fragrant, spicy blue mold and numerous cavities. It is simultaneously creamy and crumbly, and has an impeccable balance of sharp and salty flavors.
Serve Roquefort Papillon with a sweet wine such as Sauternes for a delicious pairing.
