Aged in Rogue Creamery’s traditionally modeled cellars
For their Oregon Blue, Rogue Creamery modeled their cellars on Roquefort’s. When designing their first blue cheese in 1954, they decided to draw on Roquefort’s long experience as one of the most famous blue cheese makers in the world. However, they went further and replaced sheep’s milk by cow’s milk.
The result is a flavorful blue cheese, with a softer bite and a hint of honey. This authentic blue cheese has a savory-sweet finish that has a broad appeal for cheese lovers.
What to pair Rogue Oregon Blue with?
Rogue Oregon’s taste is milder than other blue cheeses. It allows combinations with ingredients that would be overpowered by other blue cheeses.
